This is not a protest. It is a prayer. We invite every baptized Seventh-day Adventist member who shares our convictions to stand with us — not in anger, but in faithfulness, humility, and love for the Church of Christ.
"If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land."
— 2 Chronicles 7:14 (NKJV)
Why Prayer Comes First
These Are Not Merely Administrative Issues
The concerns the CMG is addressing — governance, accountability, stewardship, and leadership — are not problems that can be solved by human strategy alone. They are symptoms of a deeper spiritual condition: a drift from the servant-leadership model of Christ, a weakening of the Church's prophetic identity, and a loss of trust between members and their leaders.
God does not need the CMG to fix His Church. He needs His people to pray, to humble themselves, and to seek His face. The CMG's work is the work of faithful members — but it must be carried in prayer, or it will accomplish nothing of eternal value.
We therefore ask: before you fill in the pledge form, will you pray? Will you bring this matter before God and ask for His wisdom, His healing, and His guidance for the Cape Conference?
"The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much."
— James 5:16 (NKJV)
A Prayer Focus
What We Are Asking Members to Pray For

Six Reasons to Pray
Why Your Prayer Matters
Prayer Precedes Renewal
Every genuine revival and reformation in Church history was preceded by earnest, prevailing prayer. The Cape Conference needs revival — and revival begins on its knees.
Christ Is Already Interceding
Jesus Christ intercedes for His Church at the right hand of the Father. When we pray for the Church, we join our prayers to His. Our intercession has weight because His intercession is perfect.
Prayer Changes Hearts
No governance recommendation, policy review, or formal process can change a human heart. Only God can do that. Pray for the softening of hearts — in leadership, and in every member.
This Is Spiritual Warfare
The enemy of souls does not want the Church to be renewed. Distrust, division, and governance failure serve his purposes. Prayer is the weapon that dismantles his work.
Prayer Protects the Mission
The Cape Conference exists to proclaim the Three Angels' Messages. Every moment consumed by governance failure is a moment lost to mission. Pray that God restores the mission focus.
Your Prayers Are Not Wasted
God hears the prayers of His people. The outcome may not be what we expect — but it will be what He ordains. Trust that your prayer, offered in faith and humility, is never in vain.
Four Ways to Engage
How You Can Stand With the CMG
We do not ask members to do anything that would compromise their standing in their local church. Every form of engagement listed here is constructive, respectful, and within the bounds of faithful church membership.
